Straight answers to the real questions.
Data ownership, integration, switching cost, compliance, security, pricing — the objections dealer principals actually raise, answered without the runaround.
Do we own our data, or are we renting it back?
You own it. CarConnective fuses your systems and the vehicle layer into one enriched record per customer and VIN — and that data layer is yours: queryable, exportable, and portable the day you decide to take it. No data-access tax, no lock-in, no black box.
How does the connected-vehicle data work — is it hardware?
No hardware and no dongles. It's software-only and owner-consented: the customer connects their vehicle, and CarConnective reads the signals it broadcasts — oil life, mileage, tire pressure, battery, diagnostics — across 40+ automakers. No credentials are ever stored.
What happens to our data and models if we leave?
They're yours to take. Your enriched records, your valuations, your evidence trail — all queryable and exportable. We earn the relationship every month; we don't hold your data hostage to keep it.
Where is our data processed, and is it region-compliant?
In-region where required. The platform is engineered to the SOC 2 control set, and the connected-vehicle data layer is independently certified to ISO 27001 and 27701. US and UK/EU residency options are confirmed in the DPA per engagement — the full detail is in the Trust Center.
Does it integrate with our DMS and CRM?
Yes. CarConnective is built to sit on top of the systems you already run — reading deals, repair orders, customers and history — and it ingests leads natively, including raw ADF/XML from your CRM. We connect to your stack rather than asking you to rip it out.
Do we have to rip out our current tools to start?
No. We replace the rented stack in baby steps, on your timeline — nothing turns off until its replacement is live and proven. Most groups start with one or two modules against their real book and expand from there.
Who does the setup and integration work?
We do. Standing up your isolated instance, connecting your DMS and CRM, and building the integrations your group runs on are part of the engagement — not a surprise professional-services line item. See the Implementation page for the typical 16-week rollout.
How long until we see value?
Fast — because we start with money you're already leaking. The stack review models it up front, and the first modules (declined-service recovery, trade capture, speed-to-lead) typically begin working your book within the first rollout, not after a months-long implementation.
Is outreach compliant? We're worried about TCPA.
Compliance is built into the send, not bolted on. A number only becomes dialable through recorded prior express written consent; opt-outs hit Do-Not-Call instantly and are checked before every dial; proactive messages respect an 8am–9pm window in the contact's timezone; and every contact appends to an immutable evidence trail.
How secure is it? Do you have SOC 2?
CarConnective is engineered to the SOC 2 control set from the first line — row-level isolation, AES-256 encryption, hardened security headers, and a controlled change pipeline — with a Type II audit underway with an independent firm. You can review the full, honest control matrix on our Security page.
What does it cost?
Three parts. A one-off installation fee per site, covering the connection work and standing up your own node. A fixed monthly fee to run and maintain it — fixed meaning it does not move with your volume or your results. And data charges for the feeds you use: some run through us, and others you connect directly and pay the provider yourself at their price. No share of your gross, and no per-seat licence. Founding terms are available while we build with early groups.
Does this replace our people?
No — it makes them faster and stops revenue from walking out the door. The AI handles the follow-up nobody has time for, books the appointment, and hands your team a warm, briefed opportunity. Your advisors and salespeople do what they're best at, on the opportunities that matter.
Is there a long contract or lock-in?
No long lock-in. Founding engagements are built to earn their keep month over month — you own the data and the models throughout, so nothing holds you hostage. Term and commercials are agreed per group in the stack review, not on a take-it-or-leave-it rate card.
What support do we get?
Founder-led onboarding and a direct line during the founding program, with business-day response as standard and enterprise SLAs available for larger groups. Because it's one platform, support isn't split across a dozen vendors pointing at each other.
Ask the founder directly.
Anything we didn't cover, we'll answer straight — and show you the platform against your own data.
